Brow Treatments

It's no secret that eyebrows frame your face. We are passionate eyebrow artists who find no greater joy than hearing feedback from someone who approaches one of our clients and comments on how good their brows look. Our eyebrow service menu is extensive because we understand there is not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Eyebrow Shape
This service involves waxing and tweezing to remove unwanted hairs and define and enhance your brow shape. Our brow artists will consult with you to understand your needs and wants and reshape your brows to enhance your facial features.

Eyebrow Shape and Eyebrow Tint
This service helps define and shape your brows. Wax is used to remove unwanted hairs, and traditional tint is applied to the skin and hairs to create a more even, filled-in, and, if desired, a darker tone to the brows. Tint colours vary from light, medium, and dark, so whether you want a natural enhancement or a bold stain, we can cater the tint choice to your desired outcome.

Eyebrow Tint (Traditional/Classic Tint)
Tint is a product that is applied to the brow to fill in gaps and elevate your brow shape. Tint is applied to the skin and hairs to create a more even, filled-in, and, if desired, a darker tone to the brows. Tint colours vary from light, medium, and dark, so whether you want a natural enhancement or a bold stain, we can cater the tint choice to your desired outcome. Traditional tints can last anywhere from 5 to 14 days, depending on skin type, skin condition, aftercare, and colour choice selected.

Eyelash Tint
Eyelash tints are a popular choice to help darken and define both top and bottom lashes. This 15-minute service is a fuss-free option that can last up to 3-4 weeks on the lashes.

Hybrid Tint
Elevate your eyebrows and increase the longevity of colour stain to both hairs and skin with our hybrid tint option. Generally lasting twice as long as a traditional tint, most clients that choose the hybrid tint get 7-14 days of colour payoff. Staining longevity is dependent on skin type, skin condition, aftercare, and colour choice selected. The great option about hybrid stains is the warmer colour tones compared to traditional tints.

Hybrid Eyebrow Wax and Tint
Elevate your eyebrows and increase the longevity of colour stain to both hairs and skin with our hybrid tint option. Generally lasting twice as long as a traditional tint, most clients that choose the hybrid tint get 7-14 days of colour payoff. Staining longevity is dependent on skin type, skin condition, and colour choice selected. The advantage of hybrid stains is the warmer colour tones compared to traditional tints. This service also includes waxing to remove unwanted hairs and enhance your arch and shape.

Eyebrow Lamination
Once you have tried a brow lamination, you’ll never go back. Brow lamination is a technique that relaxes the brow follicle, enabling the hairs to sit in any desired position and making them appear in a more brushed-up direction. The end result is a fuller, thicker, softer, straighter, and more lifted and uniform look. Think of it like a semi-permanent soap brow effect. If your hair strands are unruly or curly, growing in a downward or sideways position, or if you have gaps in your brow or were a victim of the over-plucking era, lamination can help to rectify some of these commonly seen issues.

A hybrid tint is often recommended straight after the lamination process to make the brow look even more filled in and perfect.

Q & A

What's the difference between traditional tints and hybrid tint?

Traditional tints have been around for decades, whereas hybrid tints are the new kid on the block. Hybrid tints are extra-long-lasting, and this revolutionary formula has richer pigment, denser color, and longer-lasting properties. Hybrid tints can create a more carved-out look. Regular tints coat the outside of the hair follicle, whereas hybrid formulas penetrate the hair follicle, resulting in increased longevity of color.

How often should I do a brow lamination?

We recommend a lamination is performed no sooner than 8-10 weeks. However, we suggest doing a brow wax and tint or hybrid tint in between your lamination service to maintain your brows and keep them looking fabulous.

How long does brow lamination last?

Brow lamination can last anywhere from 4-8 weeks. We find the thinner the hair, the longer it lasts. We find most of our clients have a brushed-up look for about 6 weeks. When it begins to grow out, the hairs slowly start to reform back into their original and natural position. The relaxing of the lamination process is subtle, and the brow hairs don’t go through an ugly stage like some beauty treatments. It's a gradual fade over the 4-8 week period.

Can I do a brow lamination if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

Eyebrow lamination is not something we suggest during pregnancy. The reason behind this is because of the increased sensitivity during pregnancy and breastfeeding, which can lead to potential reactions and inconsistencies with the final result. A brow lamination treatment also uses chemicals during the treatment that have not been extensively tested on pregnant or lactating women. On this basis, it's best you err on the side of caution if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

What is the homecare suggested post lamination?

Aftercare is super important to follow post brow lamination. We suggest not getting them wet or touching your brows for 24-48 hours after your lamination. This also includes avoiding steam rooms and saunas and excessively sweaty activities. For the first 5 days post-treatment, we recommend avoiding any oils or products on the brows as adding this too early can fade the eyebrow tint that is often accompanied with the brow lamination. From day 5-7 post-lamination, we recommend applying oil on the brows 1-2 times a day. The best oil to help rehydrate the hairs and avoid damage and frizziness is the mini brow code oils. We have these in stock at our salon and retail for $18. The application of oil is everything for brow hair health post lamination, helping to revitalize the brow hairs. We also suggest investing in a brow gel, brow soap, or brow setting product to help keep the hairs perfectly in your new desired shape all day. We love and retail “ICE FREEZE (RRP $30).

How do I prepare for a brow lamination?

If you are known to have ultra-sensitive skin, a patch test should be performed at least 72 hours prior to your appointment. We also recommend you avoid retinols, AHAs, BHAs, and strong chemical peels and resurfacing procedures 48 hours prior to your brow lamination. We also suggest avoiding trimming, tweezing, or waxing your brows prior to your scheduled lamination appointment. But don’t worry, waxing or tweezing post-lamination is completely fine.

What's the brow lamination process like?

The treatment is a 3-step process. During step 1, we apply a perming solution to the brow hairs. Once the brows have processed, we then commence step 2, which involves applying a neutralizing solution to set the brows into their new position. Step 3 involves the application of an oil/conditioner to re-hydrate the brows.

How long does a brow lamination treatment take?

A brow lamination treatment takes approximately 30 mins. If a tint and wax are performed on the same day, the treatment can take up to 1 hr.

Are there any risks to brow lamination?

Due to the powerful chemicals during the process, there can be some downsides. There is a possibility that the hairs can be over-processed resulting in dry, crispy, brittle, and frizzy brow hairs. This rarely happens but is not unheard of, and we take every measure possible to prevent this unwanted side effect. It's also not uncommon to experience a little bit of hair loss about 7-14 days post a lamination. Despite most clients not experiencing any hair loss at all, we do see it from time to time. Due to the strong chemicals, brow lamination can also cause skin irritation, red, dry, itchy, and inflamed skin, and there have been incidents where eczema-like symptoms have been noted.
